Under warm and sunny conditions the New Hampshire Grand Prix continued in Concord last weekend with the Capital City Classic 10K. Racers from ten different member clubs took to the streets of Concord for the event.
When all was said and done the Gate City Striders once again took the team victory, amassing 157 points on the day to gap second place Greater Derry Track Club by 31 (126 points).
Individually the top NHGP Male was Jacob Wormald (GCS) completing the course in a time of 33:20 while the top NHGP Female was Katie Cross-Powers (GMRC) crossing the line at 39:19.

After the Windham Flat & Fast 5K on June 9th we are now halfway through the 2019 series and it appears that we have quite the race for 1st going on!
Individually Gate City took the crown for both the Men and Women with Jacob Wormald leading the NHGP men (2nd overall) and Katherine Estep leading the NHGP Women (2nd woman overall).
Gate City also took the team competition on the day scoring a total of 187 points to finish 32 points ahead of Greater Derry (155 points). Rounding out the scoring were Upper Valley (98 points), Millennium (21 points), Greater Manchester (11 points), and Rochester (10 points).
The first place finish on the day was enough for Gate City to also put themselves into a narrow first place standing over Upper Valley in the overall team competition:
